Concrete Sidewalks And Walkways In Des Moines
Medina Concrete pours front walks, walkways to the door or around the side of the house, and steps, and replaces broken, lifted or sunken sidewalk panels around Des Moines. Every walk is formed, reinforced and broom-finished so it stays flat and grippy through Iowa winters.
Sidewalks & Walkways, Done Right Underneath
A lifted sidewalk panel is a trip hazard, and a walk that slopes the wrong way sends water at your foundation. We remove the broken panels, set the base and forms right, and pour walks that stay flat.
Getting a new driveway? Pouring the front walk in the same job saves a second trip and a second setup.
- Homeowners with lifted, sunken or broken sidewalk panels

Replacing panels vs. pouring a new walk
If only a few panels have lifted or broken, we can replace those sections. If the whole walk is cracked, sloped wrong or heaving, tearing it out and pouring a new one usually lasts longer. We tell you which one on the walk-through.

Can you replace just a few sidewalk panels?
Often, yes. If only a few panels have lifted or broken, we can replace those sections. If the whole walk is failing, a full replacement usually lasts longer, and we will tell you which on the walk-through.
Do you pour concrete steps?
Yes. We pour steps where a walk meets a change in grade, and we replace broken steps as part of repair work.
What finish do you use on sidewalks?
A broom finish, which leaves fine ridges for grip in rain, ice and snow. Stamped concrete is an option for decorative walkways.
Can you pour the walk with my driveway?
Yes. Doing them together saves a second trip and setup.
